Why do i have gas in oil of motorcycle?

my bike has been in storage all winter. i go to change the oil today and its half gas half oil. how does this happen? what happened? how do i fix it? is this really bad? bike ran perfect before i put it up for winter. Why do i have gas in oil of motorcycle?
make a habit of shutting the fuel off every time you park it.Why do i have gas in oil of motorcycle?
The needle valve inside the float bowl of the carburetor is stuck open. The float is not driving the needle valve into the needle valve seat, thus stopping the flow of gas into the float bowl.

That is your problem.

Remove float bowl and make certain the needle moves up and down freely and the floats actually float.

Good Luck
If you left your gas on all winter and your float in the carb is stuck it could leak by the rings. Just dont run it, change the oil, clean the carbs, and do a compression test. If the rings are not bad. Ride for a few miles and change the oil again. Should be fine.
float chamber could have been leaking gas through the carb, change the oil and pull and clean the plug, and it should start, get the carb checked
