On a sea king five lower unit there are two screws on the lower unit,1 is to drain oil,what is the other 1 for

Which one did you take out? The top one is for checking your gear oil. The bottom one is for putting gear oil in.On a sea king five lower unit there are two screws on the lower unit,1 is to drain oil,what is the other 1 for
Be careful. If these two screws are different.... size of the head. This could be an old style motor. If so the lower screw is part of the gearshift. If removed it will be about 1 1/2 inch long. The oil plug is less than 1/2 inch. Some Sea King motors were built by Evinrude.

vent screw


take out the vent screw when fill it up withj gear oil when your done put the vent screw in first then the bottom/fill screw
