How come my 2000 Harley Road King blows oil at Speed?

It will also push the dipstick up a bit. The breather is working fine, but it seems the crankcase gets over pressured when I ride above 60 mph. I have the breather vented via a hose to the street, not the air cleaner. Its a 95'; conversion, using S%26amp;S components, with a Fueling oil pump. How come my 2000 Harley Road King blows oil at Speed?
the basic problem is you have 1550cc of air moving in %26amp; out of your crank case through a 3/8 hose every revolution. the breather valves in the rocker boxes will seperate the oil out if everything is working right but wont handle any extra.

there are a lot of little things that will help. like a 1 way crank vent that only lets air out but not in. make sure your oil pump is aligned. you can line it up with the same tapered bolts you use to align your lifter blocks before you bolt it down.

make sure theres no blow by with total seal gapless piston rings.( they cost 4 times as much as regular rings but work for me) slow your hi way rpm down with a smaller rear pulley or sprocket or larger trans sprocket or an overdrive trans.

the 07s do this with a higher ratio in the primary, 6th gear is still direct same as a 4 or 5 speed.

you can get more help on 1 of the harley sites. but first make sure everything you now have is in place %26amp; working properly, %26amp; no air or oil passages have been drilled out %26amp; no stock breather parts have accidentally been left out.How come my 2000 Harley Road King blows oil at Speed?
Bad head gasket , broken ring(s),or stuck rings
gaskets?
harleys are known for leaking oil... sorry man. pick up a r6 or a gsx-r 600 or something and see the error of your ways
How long since conversion? , sounds like rings stuck or one broke.
Pretty typical of twin cam Harleys. Mine does it but I have done a few things to reduce it.

First: check your oil level. Try to keep it on the bottom side of the normal range.

Second: Adjust the oil pump. If it is even slightly mis-aligned it will pump up the oil pressure in the tank and out the breather.

Good luck.
its a aircooled high compression engine, they have very loose ring gaps because of the heat expansions, of course its going to build massive crankcase pressures, very poor design for a motorcycle, should have liquid cooled cylinders like most other bigger and more powerful vtwins on the market.
